I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I obtained my Masters of Education at Seattle University in the Community Mental Health program where I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I have been practicing therapy since 2017.

My education included clinical training at MEND Seattle (formerly Seattle Therapy Alliance) where I provided therapeutic services for low-income women, trans, and non-binary folks in the Seattle area. I also have a passion for group work. So many hurts are soothed when they’re surrounded by understanding and shared experience. I’ve been trained in trauma care and have completed MEND’s Critical Social Theory curriculum, attended trainings in domestic violence, sexual assault, recovery, social justice in the therapeutic practice, and more. I believe strongly that the systems we live in directly impact our well-being and to practice therapy well, we have to acknowledge the layers of privilege and oppression at play in our world.

For all of our similarities, our lived experiences are uniquely ours and often require our therapy to have a custom framework. I use an integrative approach to therapy, often utilizing tenets of psychodynamics, feminist theory, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. I’m also trained in trauma counseling with a somatic and attachment focus.

The values I bring to my practice are grounded in feminism and intersectionality, which highlights the innate value of all people and the impact of societal messages on our sense of worth. Our work together will include unpacking those messages about our varying identities and celebrating all of the moving parts that make up who you are.
